Horrible

shinsplints.jpgI need professional help!

I hate to start my blog off with an entry that is negative, but I can’t help it. My run today was absolutely horrible. I started off the run with shins that were already sore from previous runs this week at an increased pace. Usually the tightness in my shins is manageable but as I started to get into my run it just kept getting worse and worse. I let my pride suffer a great hit and I had to force myself to walk about 30% of the time. I knew it was the best thing to do not to make matters worse but the only thing it seemed to do was make me very frustrated. Once I finished the run I immediately went to the basement and hit the heavy bag to work some of it out. It seemed to be the only way that I could actually get a good workout today.

During the run I realized that I was unable to manage the the pain in my shins on my own. I finally admitted to myself that I *really* need to go see a sports therapist so they can help me take care of the problem. I am writing this in my blog to hold myself accountable. I know if I write it down that I’ll actually do it.

Do it soon! I am sure that there are things that can be done. Keep your head up.

Ya gotta get this taken care of, broseph. You’ll eventually start hating the thought of running if you don’t. I’m glad to hear you’re going first thing Monday morning, hopefully Saturday doesn’t kill you. keep truckin’.
