I’m breaking down and doing it…don’t worry it’s a good thing :):):)

Urban active here I come! It is absolutely killing me to read everyone’s posts and not be able to perform any sort of aerobic exercise myself. I can’t think of anything that I can do that will not risk further injury without going getting a gym membership. I’m going to do it on Monday no questions asked. I will find something at the gym that will keep my heart rate up for a significant period of time and not risk further injury on my ankle. I think that I’m more than likely going to go to the gym with the swimming pool (mike said there was an urban active in lex with a pool) and run in the water for a little while. I don’t really have a clue on how long I have to run to get an equal workout but I’ll figure that out when the time comes.

As far as my ankle goes. It’s not getting better as fast as I thought it would. It keeps getting more and more purple/black/green/red/violet/cyan/anyothercolorthatyoucanthingof/yellow. I’m keeping up with the ice and elevation and I’m also trying to stretch it out using some of the stretches listed in my stretching book under sprained ankle. Hopefully I’ll be able to do the nine this coming up weekend, but at this point it isn’t looking too promising. I hope that my shins will have healed by the time I get back on the road. I haven’t taken more than 3 days off of running in about 2.5 months and I don’t like it.

Keep up the good work everyone. I read everyone’s blogs a little bit ago and I’m really inspired to get back out on the road and have some of the same experiences that you all are having. I’m really glad that we all decided to set up this blog because it would have been a lot harder to stay motivated with out reading everyone else’s progress.

Color is good, Swelling is bad. AS long as the swelling is staying down you are healing. The pretty color are just your bodies way of celebrating the healing.
